CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH
Newnan, Georgia

Project Details:

For well over a century, Central Baptist Church has been a strong, faithful witness to its community and the world. Many of those who continue to lead Central today are descendants of the original 144 members whose founding covenant included a phrase that has now become the church motto:

Keeping house for God.

When Central planned a major expansion and renovation of its facilities, Pastor Matt Sapp and the Central congregation partnered with Headley Construction, Houser Walker Architecture, and Comprehensive Program Services to build a new fellowship hall, new youth space, and gathering spaces, on the site of its old youth building and Brown Street in Newnan.

In addition to extensive site preparation expanding the campus footprint with a grand porte cochère, comfortable gathering vestibules, and parking for its community, Central converted its existing fellowship hall, making it possible for all children's activities to be on the same floor of the building.

With preservation of the historic character of Central Baptist Church at the heart of this special project, Headley Construction was proud to help grow the campus to be more parishioner and pedestrian friendly. Addition of a large public parking lot increases connectivity not just for the church but for the entire City of Newnan.
